Physiotherapist Consultation
A physiotherapist consultation is the first appointment with the patient, during which the specialist evaluates the patient’s health condition, complaints, and needs in order to develop an appropriate therapy plan.
The consultation includes:
-
Medical history (anamnesis) – discussion about complaints, medical history, injuries, surgeries, physical activity, work, and lifestyle habits.
-
Functional examination – assessment of posture, movement, muscle strength, joint mobility, balance, gait, and other functional indicators.
-
Objective measurements – use of tests and instruments when necessary (e.g., dynamometers, range of motion measurements).
-
Problem definition – identifying the main functional disorder causing pain or limitations.
-
Therapy planning – determining the application of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, physiotherapy equipment, or other methods.
-
Patient education – explanation of the condition, load adjustment, home exercise recommendations, and preventive measures.
